Description: US - MT - Billings is at the momment seeking for Dialysis Licensed Practical Nurse 3 days/wk, FT right now, this career will be placed in Montana. The LPN provides direct patient care u! nder the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides nursing care according to clinic policies and procedures, including thorough patient assessment, initiation and discontinuation of treatment, monitoring during treatment, assessment following treatment, completing primary nurse responsibilities, assuring ordered lab is obtained
Determines patient care priorities and organizes workload.
Assess and monitors the patient access, taking appropriate action if a problem is noted. Documents thoroughly.
Understands and follows the clinic infection control policies and procedures.
Understands the basic concepts of water treatment and reuse and the effects on patient care.
Documents care of the patient according to DCI policies, including changes in the patient condition and other pertinent data.
Communicates clearly and effec! tively with co-workers, physicians, patients, and supervisors,! keeping all appropriate people aware of changes in the patient condition.
Is knowledgeable of and follows the clinics' Risk Management program.
May be assigned to administer medications to patients, educates the patient about medications ordered by the physician, and documents according to DCI policy.
Attends required in-services and staff meetings to maintain and expand competency and skills.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing
IV and medication certification as required by state law
Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification.

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS:
Since this is a healthcare environment, there is the possibility of exposure to infectious / contagious diseases, needle sticks and blood and body fluids. Further information about this position’s specific work environment and exposure category will be provided during orientation. This position is classified as Category I. !
