St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT.
We are seeking a Reg! istered Nurse (RN) who enjoys the fast paced environment as a member of a flight team that provides care in a variety of settings including hospital buildings and grounds, air and ground ambulances, and at prehospital scenes.
This is a .9 FTE variable shift. Requires one 24 hour shift and one 12 hour shift followed by a consecutive 12 hour on-call shift
.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care needs for patients who are in a crisis situation, taking both physical and psycho social elements into consideration.
Use open and clear communication with patients, family members, and other emergency medical professionals.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurs! e (RN) licensure in Montana State
Certified Flight Re! gistered Nurse (CFRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) required upon hire
Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months of hire or when current certification is due (whichever is sooner)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Transport Nurse Advanced Trauma Course (TNATC) required within designated time frame determined by department director
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Passport required for international flights upon completion of orientation
3 or more years experience working in ED, ICU or flight nursing
Must comply with all Montana and Idaho requirements to operate within the prehospital environment in both states
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
! Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN extension program highly preferred
National certified EMT or Paramedic and Montana EMT-B or current Montana EMT certification or Montana Paramedic licensure preferred at hire
Ambulance, field, and flight experience highly preferred
Computer skills highly desirable
