Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Manager that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN lice! nsure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit.
The beautiful, mountainous Northwest is calling for an adventurous, team-oriented, Medical Surgical Manager to join our team of professionals in Libby, Montana! In this position, the Nurse Manager, under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and in collaboration with the clinical staff, is responsible for the day to day operations of the Medical/Surgical, ICU & OB units. Responsible for human resource management, performance improvement initiatives, budget management, core work flow initiatives, facilitation of inter/intra-departmental communication, and the maintenance and monitoring of regulatory standards of care. The Nurse Manager is responsible for supervising approximately 35 direct reports and assisting with patient care as needed.
Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school. BSN required.
Current st! ate license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain li! censure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
BLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS, and must have the ability to obtain TNCC within 9 months of hire.
At least 5 years of recent nursing management experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evalu! ation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
