For detail informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. he assistancd Director of Clinical Services supervises and directs all nursing care according to the policies, procedures, philosophy and goals of the Center. This includes twenty-four hour accountability for the n! ursing care provided in Admitting, Pre-Op, Phase I and II Recovery, Endoscopy, Operating Rooms Central Processing and Twenty-three Hour Observation when initiated. He/she provides and controls materials, supplies and equipment needed for successful operation of the facility. The Director of Clinical Services works closely with the Medical Staff in provision of services. He/she analyzes and evaluates nursing service to continually improve upon the service to patients, families, physicians and staff members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education Required: Graduate of accredited nursing school
Education Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree
Experience Required: Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience utilizing surgical nursing skills, which include one to two years in a supervisory or Director role
Experience Preferred: Computer skills. One year of Opera! ting room experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
Required: Current Texas RN license; current BCLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred: ACLS, CNOR, Member of Association of Operating Room Nurses
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: Administrator
Positions supervised: Nursing staff, Surgical Technicians and Ancillary Staff
