DME Specialist

Description: Billings Clinic is at present looking to employ DME Specialist right now, this vacancy will be placed in Montana. Responsible for equipment maintenance and set up, preparation and operation of the liquid fill station, education of patients/clients on the safety aspects of equipment operation and maintenance. Responsible t! o evaluate the home environment and the patient/client’s ability to deal with the specific equipment used and educate/train them accordingly. Consults with and makes recommendations to physicians, nurses, and members of the health care team regarding patient/client related care, sales and services as needed. Effectively implements prescribed DME equipment and applys equipment knowledge for any given scenario to meet patient/client needs. Responsible for documentation of all training, and follow up performed. Participates in the marketing and sales of all home oxygen/DME services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
High school graduate or equivalent,
Successful completion of Department of Transportation (DOT) physical required within six (6) months of employment,
Montana commercial class C with hazardous endorsement drivers license must be obtained within six (6) months of employment ;
Position requires good driving record and the ability to be insure! d to operate Billings Clinic vehicles,
One year of experie! nce working with home care and DME, preferred,
Certified in Basic Life Support, Sales and marketing experience preferred,
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
