Montana State Fund is currently hiring for three newly added Medical Case Manager opportunities. With a high level of medical exper! tise and under minimal supervision provide medical case management for medically complex workers' compensation claims. Serve as medical resource for claims staff and provide guidance and information on specific claims.
DUTIES
Provide medical expertise to examiners and IE's relating to diagnosis, treatment plan and related expenses. May facilitate identifying and obtaining appropriate care as medically needed. Work with team members to bring medical issues to an expedient and cost-effective resolution.40%Research and analyze provider treatment plans with evidence-based best practices. Analyze medical claims management issues with other claims professionals through communication, coordination and facilitation of information to assist with return to work efforts, and negotiate appropriate treatment plans with medical providers.40%Communicate routinely with IEs, medical providers and others; provide education and consultation and assist with RTW efforts. 20%SP! ECIAL WORK REQUIREMENTS: Some travel, including overnight, req! uired.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires current RN or APRN licensure with 3 years of clinical experience after licensure. Master's degree in a related field, Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), Certification in Case Management, Community Health, Home Health, or Medical-Surgical Nursing (RN,C), Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN) is preferred.
