Position Focus
Responsible for the supervision and day to day operations of post-operative Med/Surg Unit.
Strong dedication needed to ensure the consistent de! livery of high quality patient services and outcomes.
Ensu! res policies and procedures are carried out in accordance with JCAHO standards.
Mentors and develops leadership skills among staff including communication, decision-making, problem solving, education and training.
Assists the Director in short and long range planning to achieve goals and objectives of the nursing unit service line.
Oversees a staff of approximately 90 and will report to the Director of Medical/Surgical /Oncology .

Requirements:
BSN required; Masters degree preferred.
At least three years of nursing leadership experience within Med/Surg , ICU, CCU or oth! er Inpatient Acute Care Unit.
Very strong organizational and leadership skills.
Experience with Lean 6 Sigma and process improvement a plus.
Strong communication and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to self-motivate and inspire others.
