Description
This is an on call (0.2 Status), day shift in the Referral Center. The RN will function as a member of the Referral Center T eam. The primary role of the RN within the Referral Center is to facilitate the delivery of information to patients over the phone (Nurse On Call) using clinical protocols as well as coordinating the direct admissions and transport between facilities. RN will also participate in continuous quality improvement via documentation audits, and peer review. In addition, RNs will be expected to be an ambassador for ruse On Call at CMC sponsored events throughout the year.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills both directly with coworkers and indirectly with patients and families over the phone. Additionally they must be able to work independently for periods of time. They must have the ability to remain calm in stressful conditions, multitask and prioritize workload and phones.
Minimum Required: Associate Degree required. Licensed in the State of Montana as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS, Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire. Proficiency in English, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
Preferred/Desired: BSN preferred. Current Healthcare Provider BLS. Recent clinic experience and/or previous nursing practice preferred.
This position is subject to Drug and Alcohol Testing according to MT Law 39-2-205-39-2-211.
This is a TPD position and will need to be available to cover all shifts, weekends, holidays as needed.
