Position Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible to assist nursing personnel in providing resident within the scope of his/her certification, training and meeting regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Provides all ADL cares to patients including: oral, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, range of motion, ambulation, dining. ? Delivers care according to patient's individual care plan. ? Provides care in a manner that respects the resident's dignity and privacy. ? Provides care with kindness and compassion, paying attention to detail and recognizing individual resident needs. ? Offers choices with care and encourages patients to maintain independence whenever possible. ? Adheres to resident's rights when providing care and communication with patients. ? Answers call light promptly. ? Follows infection control procedures. ? Communicates changes in patient's condition to staff nurse in a timely manner. ? Records entries on daily flow sheets and documents as required per Acute Care policies and procedures. ? Interacts with Interdisciplinary Team to communicate resident preferences, needs and details to establish individualized care plan. ? Communicates with team members to provide continuity of cares, for example during meal breaks, at change of shift, when patient experiences acute changes, etc. ? Interacts with other disciplines to promote, encourage and assist patients to various activities of interest to the patient. ? Maintains cleanliness of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment that patients may use. ? Reports to maintenance any non-working or unsafe equipment or facility fixtures. ? Uses all required safety equipment appropriately, gait belt, goggles, lifts, transfer boards, etc. ? Wound/skin care ? Restraints ? Email ? SCD/Plexi machines ? Hill Rom Specialty beds ? Infection control ? Blood Bank ? Fall Prevention ? Quantros Reporting Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: Requirements are representative of minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. 1. CNA certification in the State of Montana. 2. Experience as a CNA is beneficial. 3. Able to read, write at a level to fulfill documentation requirements. 4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
