Management of operations of physician's office including telephone triage, overseeing appointment
scheduling, developing and/or reviewing documentation forms, flow! sheets and other
office data pertinent to provider's day to day office functions. Assisting physician/provider in
delivery of care. Maintains skills and general knowledge of medications and medication
administration. Administers medications as prescribed by provider. Informs patient
of test results according to physician interpretation. Assist patients in understanding of and
compliance with that care. Performing patient care and clerical tasks as necessary where needed
in the clinic setting as directed by provider and/or supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Nursing Process:
?Assesses emergent, urgent and non-emergent patient needs using the nursing
process and approved guidelines. Analyses data and information and formulates individualized
plans of care.
?Coordinates patient flow and patient care on a daily basis. Delegates appropriately
C! ollaborates with providers as needed. Identifies and utilizes ! appropriate internal and
external resources to meet patient needs.
?Demonstrates competence when performing technical skills. Demonstrates knowledge
and technical competence in preparation and administration of medication. Recognizes and
responds appropriately to medical emergencies. Assists other nursing staff with other
duties as needed. Operates medical equipment and office equipment independently.

Evaluates response to care in a legible and timely fashion, according to policy and procedure.
Patient Education/Continuum of Care:
?Overseeing of appointment scheduling, and cooperation with other support services.
Communication with other departments and facilities to coordinate scheduling of tests
referrals, surgeries, etc.
?Employs telephone triage, recognizing the patient's needs are the primary concern.
?Returns phone calls and answers messages in a ti! mely manner.
?Prepares patient for examination.
?
Assists provider with office procedures as required.
?Incorporates clinical data, i.e. lab, x-ray and all diagnostics.
?Assesses patient needs holistically and performs nursing care as appropriate.
?Assesses patient's educational needs in collaboration with providers. Provides and
documents patient educations.
?Maintains/reviews patient records, tests, and reports. Informs patient of results according
to provider interpretation.
Leadership:

Demonstrates knowledge of ethical and legal issues and professional nursing standards
necessary for providing patient care and understanding.
?Supports providers in care delivery and coordinates quality patient care.
?Promotes and develops teamwork. Demonstrates respect for each member of the

challenges in the work place.

?Develops, updates and/or reviews documentation forms, flow sheets, office data
policy & procedures, etc. pertinent to area of work PRN or annually.
?Informs provider of changes in policies and procedures.
! Requirements:
1. Current State of MT RN license.
2. Three years recent clinical experience.
3. Current BLS certification.
4. Some physician/provider office experience preferred but not required.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with facility managerial
and medical staff.
6. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and timely follow through.
